In an effort to keep track of the many fics I am trying to work on (because I have fic ADD lately), here's like a meme/teaser of things I'm hoping to finish:

1.

They lock the door and pretend the past never happened.

Blair lays on his bed in her matching pale pink bra and panties (the color a blush barely darker than her skin), jewelry clumped on the bedside table because it sticks to her skin too much. A hint of a breeze stirs the air from the half-open window. Blair tugs off any clothes Dan's wearing; skin to skin is unbearable in this weather, but it's the kind of unbearable she likes.

2.

Nate's generally pretty bad at stopping himself from kissing people. Yet even he is fairly shocked at himself – and when he pulls back he sees Dan, too, is shocked as hell.

"I'm sorry," Nate says, but he really isn't. He licks his lips and notices he's still holding Dan's face. He lets him go. "I – I only – Yeah, man, I just meant –"

"I should go," Dan says suddenly, shooting off his bed. "I – Liz from history needed my notes, so I should – I should see to that and – Bye."

3.

Mom is supposed to get her that day because the nanny had been fired just that morning for being in Mommy's room with Uncle Scott (who is not even Serena's uncle) when Mommy wasn't there.

Serena eagerly waits for her, trying to imagine how she'll look in the crowd of Hispanic nannies in black uniforms. She'll be in her long white wool coat with cloud of wavy blonde hair, wearing big sunglasses and red lipstick.

Serena's mother is always late wherever she goes, so when the little hand is already past the three, Serena doesn't worry. She sits still, which is hard for her – especially because she got to pick out her own clothes this morning and she put on her swishiest skirt and it is meant for twirling.

It's past four when her grandmother shows up, harried, tugging Eric along behind her.

"Your mother's in Los Angeles," she says, with that touch of grandmothery disappointment. She pastes on a smile as she takes Serena's hand. "You'll be sleeping over Grandma's tonight."

4.

The first time Chuck kisses him, it's long before a life with him or Blair is even a wisp of a consideration. They're sixteen and it's practically a dare, Bass' tongue in his mouth trying to prove a point.

The first time Dan has sex with Chuck he's twenty-one, drunk, and in a literal closet. Blair Waldorf's closet, to be exact.

5.

Nate's nose snuffles against Dan's bare shoulder like a puppy and he grins a kiss against Dan's arm. "Do I get my own book too?"

Dan seeks out Nate's mouth in the dim bedroom light. "Oh, you get a whole series. In it you solve crime with the cunning use of bangs."

6.

The first thing Dan does when Georgina takes off her coat (reveals her stomach like a beach ball, flips open sonogram photos) is freak the fuck out.

The second thing he does is make her lift the hem of her shirt so he can see if her stomach is, in fact, a stomach and not a pillow. Which it isn't – it's skin, it's her, stretched tight like a drum.

"That does not look real," he says and he's done like eighty double takes but he still can't process it.

"You can give it a feel," she says, perversely.

7.

Aside from all the fucking – of which there is lots, so much so that Dan is falling behind in his work and he hates missing readings (and missing sleep) – they spend a lot of time together. A lot of non-sex time. Bizarre, because they're still Waldorf and Bass and he's still Brooklyn, but it's different. They have dinner together. Blair keeps trying to dress him and Chuck teases blackmail; he and Blair study, he and Chuck argue. They shout a lot, about everything. Dan cooks for them once; they swear it must be poisoned, but eat it anyway. They sit quietly, each involved in his or her own task. When Dan is home alone, he kind of wishes he was with them. He feels less and less like an evening's entertainment; more and more like a fixture.

There's also a really unsettling amount of cuddling

8.
It's early. The streets are mostly empty. Nate's hands are tentatively on the steering wheel; he stares straight ahead.

Dan reaches over to turn the key. The car buzzes near-silently to life. "There," he says. "Hard part done. Smooth sailing from now on."

"You hate sailing," Nate points out with a smile.

"I hate drowning," Dan corrects. "Okay, foot on the brake, put it in drive."

Nate does so, about as slow as he can.

"It's really not hard," Dan says. "I swear. All you need to worry about are other drivers – and none at here, it's empty. So no worries."

"No worries," Nate repeats. He eases off the break, pulls out into the street.

9.

Dan goes to Paris for Serena but, after watching her sit at cafes surrounded by French boys and feeling zero jealousy, he has to concede that perhaps he'd been acting rashly in coming at all.

He stays, though, because she was still happy to see him and it's still Paris and he has Rufus' divorce settlement to burn though. He feels a little bit like a trust fund baby for the first time in his life. He's embarrassed by how much he likes it; he can't imagine what Vanessa would say. Actually, he could, and it would be something along the lines of this isn't you Dan you've been seduced by all this wealth what happened to pizza at Grimaldi's and pirogues from around the corner?

10.

She's ready to head back inside and demand Mrs. Puckerman make her a sandwich when she sees someone coming up the path. Quinn nearly goes into labor right then and there, she's so shocked.

Georgina Sparks stops in front of her and smirks. She's dressed in black from head to toe. She looks more predatory than Quinn remembers. "Hi," she says pleasantly. "You're huge."

Quinn's hands automatically go to her stomach. Like she needs to be reminded. She narrows her eyes. "What are you doing here?"

"I can't stop by an old Bible camp buddy?" She pushes her sunglasses onto the top of her head. Her eyes are darkly lined. "I heard from Travis and Miranda that you got knocked up. Had to see it for myself."

Quinn arches a brow. "You came all the way to Lima for that."

The smile that graces the other girl's face sends a shiver down Quinn's spine. "I might have a proposition for you."
