Aw, lol. Blair hasn't really lost her looks, obviously. It's just everyone being terrible to her. And yes, Dan is 100% sincere here about his feelings for Serena - he doesn't really want to be a part of high society, and in fact considers that the only drawback of becoming involved with her. Nate really just meant he accomplished his goal by convincing Lily to agree to the marriage. I don't plan to involve an information from the finale in my writing, ever. Dan is pretty straightforward and honest here, though he is getting ahead of himself with Serena. That's really the point to her - and the point of May in the original novel. Wharton describes May's niceness and sunny disposition as a 'curtain dropped on emptiness' at one point.
